Women Entrepreneurs of El Timbinal
A business of services and designed products was created and is implemented and directed by women of the community of El Timbinal, in the municipality of Yuriria, Guanajuato.
The business “Women Entrepreneurs of El Timbinal” is associated with the business “Textile Manufacturer of El Timbinal”, property of the immigrants from this community who reside in Napa Valley, California. This textile factory remained closed 10 years and now with its new business associates, will produce textile products for hotels, spas, and hospitals.
The agreement with the business associates will permit that the immigrants obtain administration, design, fabrication, and commercialization of the products created in this workshop which originally functioned between 1999 and 2001.
Resources: With the participation of the immigrants of Casa Guanajuato in Napa Valley, Women Entrepreneurs of El Timbinal, the government of Guanajuato, federal and municipal governments, Western Union, and the Interamerican Foundation through MIDE-ac, more than MX$3,500,000.00 pesos (approximately $350,000 US dollars) were invested in the project to create employment and produce high-quality textile goods destined to fulfill demand in the tourism and health sectors of the state of Guanajuato, and in the longer term to fulfill the demand for textile items in the hotel, spa, and packing industries of Napa Valley, California.
